There will be more pics we promise!

Today we moved some more furniture back in; my office stuff, and also now have the tv and stereo in its proper place (even hooked up to the aerial so we can watch tv!).
The garage is looking clearer.
Steve also painted the entrance way ceiling... not that it is totally clear where the ceiling ends and the walls begin.
Decisions required on floor coverings for family room and Shannon's room, and also light fitings for the same.

Our bedroom

Here's what we started with, once the furniture was out...

The carpet had to go.

and the diffusers moved in (along with a WIDE range of smell-neutralising aparatus)

Lots of plastering and painting later, we attained painted walls...

Cats and their friends

The previous owner loved cats. So much she owned (well fed) 16 feral, stray cats, each worse than the previous. Most left with the owner or were given to RSCPA. Only 1 remains (that we know of).

Cats have fleas. Or at least these one's did. Take away the cats and the fleas get hungry. So... they ate us. I (Kayli) am currently winning the Grand Flea Bite Competition, sitting at a remarkable 70 points (or 70 bites) as of Tuesday.

The other rooms

The girls bedrooms didn't feature in the advertising pics.
Shannon's didn't have a ceiling, and only ran to three internal walls. Kayli's was all there, but ...
There was also a large entrance/hallway made very cluttered by a redundant door way with curtain.
The previous owner/s were skilled at using recycled materials. Just not necessarily well, nor ones that fitted, or matched. Nor at finishing things.

Outside

A lovely big yard, with orange, peach, apricot trees and grape vine.
Excellent fruit.
And a friendly contingent of native birds (including the sorts kiwis keep in cages!)

Bathroom (as it was)

Pretty much as it is, though we have painted the inside of the "window frame" that used to be an outside window and is now in wall to family room.
This room doesn't needed much more... except when you want to shower. At that point the lace in the sliding doors doesn't do a great job for privacy!
